NumberInterfaces_ and Node Exapndaddr?

Hi,
   It seems there are problems with
"Simulator set NumberInterfaces_ 1", "Node expandaddr"..
   From the response information, it seems they are all out-dated. Is 
it true and how to realise the same function under ns-2.1b5?
 
   In addtion, there is also a problem with 
"Simulator set EnableMcast_ 1". It has to be substitued by 
"set ns [new Simulator -multicast on]
$ns multicast "
    
    I wonder where I may find more information about these things.
