Exponential Interarrival Time

Hi all,
I'm trying to simulate a wireless scenario with multiple FTP applications
running on it.
It must also have an exponential interarrival time for the FTP
applications to start sending packets whose length in bytes has to be
Pareto distributed. I succeeded in setting the Pareto distributed byte
length by modifying the tcpgen.tcl script to suit my need.
But I don't know how to set the interarrival time of the FTP applications.
Can anyone help?
