a newbie question

I'm looking into using ns to simulate network-aware mobile programs.  Hence, the
following rather generic question: is it possible to schedule topology modifications 
(e.g., introducing or removing links and nodes), and introduction/removal of agents and
agent-to-node associations at points of time *after* the start of the simulation?
