[ns] Memory Vs Large-Simulations

All,

Does anyone have an idea whether link loss and delay have any effect on memory 
with increase in node number in large simulations ?

I am referring to simulations where you have 500+ plus nodes and 500+ plus 
links. It seems after checking my code syntax and following debugging clues 
mentioned at http://www-mash.CS.Berkeley.EDU/ns/ns-debugging.html, my swap space 
is still not enough !!

[I am running my simulation/s on a SPARC Ultra 1, 128 MB Ram, with enough H/D 
space]
