[ns] URGENT:Tracefile and Variable Packet Size

I am making a project in which i require to to study energy consumption in
mobile node on varying packet size. But i am unable to identify any way to
write out a custom trace file with current value of energy. Also How can i
vary packet size after every few seconds and get that value in trace file so
that i can get plot between packet size and energy consumption.
