[ns] compiling ns-2.1b6 on winNT

I followed instructions from :
http://www-mash.cs.berkeley.edu/ns/ns-win32-build.html
and compiled ns2 on winNT machine.
However whenever I try to run ANY example tcl script,
it exits giving an error of the form :
-oxx: no target for slot yy
I lloked throught the archive and try to set se-address-format 
etc. but it still persists.
Actually I already have a binary precompiled version successfuly
released on my winNT and it runs fine.
However I need to measure throughput at RLM receivers
and posted a message here but did not get
any replies.
