Yes, the geographical location is taken into account when calculating
the link delay. That's the whole point of the satellite code; you can
see this in satposition.{cc|h} and examine the delay in tracefiles for
terminals in different positions.

(Start with the geostationary examples, as they're easiest to get
 comfortable with.)
