[ns] packet sent count

Hi 
I need to count  packets sent by server in multicast
protocol to calculate packet loss rate. In case of
packet received can be obtained from LossMonitor ,
variable npkts_ but I have no idea how I can get the
number of packets sent . It seemed that McastMonitor
doesn't work in current version of NS. 

Any help will appreciated.
