[ns] wired cum wireless question

hi,
I am new to ns and I wanna create  some sample wired cum wireless
toplogies with heterogenous nodes. I am trying to extend the examples in
the marc greis tutorials. i get a segmenatation fault when i try to run
nam on the wireless2.tcl and wireless3.tcl. i have installed ns2.1b6 on
my machine. i guess there's something wrong with the version i am using.

does anyone know what the problem can be?
