Please feel free to circulate this following :
- Special Issue of DMTCS on ALGORITHMS AND MODELS FOR TELECOMMUNICATION
to interested colleagues.
Accept our sincere apologies if you receive multiple copies.

************************CALL FOR PAPERS*****************************

Discrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science (DMTCS)
                  announces a Special Issue on

           ALGORITHMS AND MODELS FOR TELECOMMUNICATION

Scope :

This special issue is an outgrowth of the AlgoTel workshop on
Computational Telecommunication that was held at La Rochelle, France
in may 2000. The purpose of this workshop was to bring together
researchers, developers, and practitioners from academia and industry.
The aim was to provide a forum for discussion, presentation, and
exploration of technologies and their advances in the broad field of
design, implementation and applications of Algorithms and
Telecommunication - ranging from routing algorithm, discrete
algorithms and discrete modeling in the context of telecommunication
to new communication systems.

We invite you to submit papers that address novel, challenging, and
innovative results. This special issue covers the technology needed to
address the challenges raised by the merge of both the
telecommunication and the networking world. The topics include, but
are not limited to:

Multicast and Routing Protocols
Network Design
Optical Communication Networks
Performance Modeling/Analysis
Quality of Services (QoS) Issues
Satellite Communication Networks
Wireless/Mobile Communication Networks

We are especially interested in high-quality papers that advance the
state-of-the-art and in practical applications of communication
networks. Both theoretical contributions (presenting new techniques,
concepts, or analyses) and applied contributions (reporting on
experiences and experiments with actual systems) and tutorial
expositions of permanent reference value are going to be published.
Work-in-progress papers describing the state of on-going research
projects are also encouraged.

Manuscript Submission :

This special issue will only consider electronic submissions in the
format of postscript. To submit a paper for consideration, authors
should send their paper by using the web page of DMTCS :
http://dmtcs.loria.fr/compose/index.html

The journal's language is English, all conventions for scientific work
in that language apply. Potential authors may wish to consult the
sections on author information and guidelines for reviewers, which are
given at http://dmtcs.loria.fr/sample/

DMTCS will provide an acknowledgement of receipt of the paper within
24 hours of submission.

Schedule:
