[ns] What does Http empirical data mean?

Hi, 

In  ~/tcl/http/data/, there is cdf(cumulative distribution function?) file for
Http empirical data.  But I don't know what the meaning is. For example, If I
want to plot connection duration vs probablity, how to trace these files
to get it?
