Subject: [ns] Nam 1.0a9 release announcement

Nam-1.0a9 has been released. Instructions for getting and building ns are
at <http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/ns-build.html>. The previous
release is 1.0a8.

WHAT'S NAM?
-----------

Nam is a Tcl/TK based animation tool for viewing network simulation traces
and real world packet traces. It supports topology layout, packet level
animation, and various data inspection tools.

Nam began at LBL. It has evolved substantially over the past few years.
The nam development effort is now an ongoing collaboration with the VINT
project.

WHAT'S NEW IN 1.0a9?
 --------------------

- nam validation test suite
- support for dynamic node/link creation
(after the nam trace starts, not just at the trace beginning)
- preliminary nam scenario editor(alpha-quality)
- many small bug fixes

Nam-1.0a9 is available from <http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/ns-build.html>
and requires TclCL-1.0b10, Tcl/TK 8.3.2 and otcl-1.0a6.
