[ns] Nam Doesn't work - Urgent!!

Hi,
I have installed ns-allinone in Linux system. Installation process has 
been done but when i run simple.tcl, it gives me an error with the below
message.

ns: finish: couldn't execute "nam": no such file or directory
    while executing
"exec nam out.nam &"
    (procedure "finish" line 8)
    invoked from within
"finish"

Actually I'm using Linux System remotely, so I've installed X-windows 
server and I'm trying to work. Can I know the reason why nam is not been 
activated.
