[ns] Is it possible to analyse different routing algorithm under ns?

hi,all,
I search this mail list,but i cant find anything about analyse the performance
(such as lookup time)of a routing algorithm,why?
is it impossible to do that?if possible,what should i do then?
btw:To analyse the delay due to routing lookup,i build a network of 
about 400 nodes,but it seems no difference with the 4 nodes network.
