[ns] scoreboard problem

Dear ns-users,

i have a problem with the scoreboard which gives me the scoreboard
error that has been mentioned a few times already on this list:

Error, scoreboard too large (increase SBSIZE for more space)

i also read about a bug report, that sally fixed this, and thus i
downloaded the latest versions of scoreboard.{h,cc} which are part of
ns-2.1b7.

i use ns-2.1b6 but now with the latest scoreboard.  now, if i increase
the SBSIZE from 1024 to 2048 in scoreboard.h, rebuild, and try to
execute, ns always segfaults (line 239 of tcp-sink.cc, v. 1.39).

trying different values than 2048 doesn't help.  it seems that any
change of the SBSIZE does no good.

can anyone help?

any help is appreciated (although the quicker the better because i am
somewhat running out of time :()
