[ns] ns-2.1b7 compilation-problem: diffusion

Hi ns-users,

I'm trying to install Ns-2.1b7 on Win98 using VC++ 5.0. But,
during the compilation of Ns-2, the compiler stopped giving the
following error-output:

diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1033) : error C2202: 'ParseSubType'
diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1049) : error C2202: 'ParseOrgType'
diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1068) : error C2202: 'ParsePosType'
diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1083) : error C2202: 'ParsePosNodeType'
diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1098) : error C2202: 'ParseNegWinType'
diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1113) : error C2202: 'ParseNegThrType'
diffusion/diff_rate.cc(1128) : error C2202: 'ParseNegMaxType' : Nicht
alle Verzweigungen der Ablaufsteuerung geben einen Wert zurueck

(the error-discription in German means: "not all branches of the
sequential control return a value")

Do someone have successfully compiled Ns-2.1b7 - I need this version,
because features like MAC 802.3 didn't work with  b6 - on Win98? If yes,
please tell me how I can go on with the compilation.
If you may have bug-fixed files for "diffusion", please send me those
ones.
