[ns] ftp configure parameters

For Application/FTP object, ns2 doc says there are configuration parameters:

maxpkts (p302) where can i find it?

Also it says:

$ftp start 
causes the source to produce maxpkts_ packets. I thought it use a counter not 
really generating the maximum packets. Is it right?
