[ns] problem ...

hi all,
          i am trying to implement a wired-wireless
          protocol using ns-2.i have to make changes
          at the link layer and hence have to
          implement ARQ and FEC.
          i figure that snoop.tcl is a good place to
          start
  	  ...(is that right ?)
	   can someone tell me if ARQ and FEC are
          implemented in ns ..
          also does snoop work well ..i have seen in
          the old archives thta it is broken ..
