[ns] bit error

hi,all
I want to make some bits in a packet error.
the following is what I do:
in "pakcket.cc":
    I wirte a new  method Packet* randomerror();
in "delay.cc"
    in recv(),if (dynamic_) {
		Event* e = (Event*)p;
		e->time_= txt + delay_;
		p = p->randomerror();//that's what i do
 		itq_->enque(p); 
		s.schedule(this, p, txt + delay_);     
then I recompile,but it does't seem to change anything.
coule anyone tell me the reason?
