[ns] information needed on NS-2

Hi All
I am developing SRP(Spatial reuse protocol)/RPR(Resilient Packet Ring)
protocol for datalink layer. This is MAC layer protocol. I would like to
know how to write and integrate  a new protocol in NS-2 . And also how to
simulate this new protocol in NS-2.

As I am unable to subscribe the ns-users mailing list. So could you forward
my query to mailing list if you don't have answer of this query.
