Hello everybody,
I have seen that you had some problems installing the GPRS packet to ns, and
i�m writing because i need some help.
I installed the GPRS extension like that:
1) I�ve installed the ns-extension (all in one).
2) I'veput in the files (below) from the gprs packet in the folder ns-2.1b7a
(extended)
arp.cc
Makefile.in
mac.*
ll.*
rlc*
channel.cc
cmu-trace.cc
packet.h
3) I'veput in the files (below) from the gprs packet in the folder
ns-2.1b7a/tcl/lib/ (extended)
ns-packet.tcl
ns-lib.tcl
ns-mobilenode.tcl
ns-default.tcl
and it didn�t work well. At least when I ran "% ns example.tcl", it gave me
an error information segmentation fault
[root@itabirito ns-2.1b7a]# ./ns
~/leob/MobileProject/dir_ns/gprs/gprs_doc/example.tcl
num_nodes is set 1
<0> 0.000000 first drop will be at 807
<0> 0.000000 initialised...;
<0> 0.000000 first drop will be at 249
<0> 0.000000 initialised...;
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I also saw at the ns mailing list that we should do something like this:
>3. patch ns-allinone-2.1b7a by RJ's GPRS extension
> (a) apply 'patch_gprs'
> (b) cp 'final_code' into 'ns-2.1b7a'
but i don�t know how to "a) apply 'patch_gprs'" the patch. What does it mean
(apply)? Did I do the right thing or are missing something?
