Keith Burghardt is a Computer Scientist at the University of Southern California (USC) Information Sciences Institute. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in College Park, in physics and currently applies tools from physics and computer science to better understand emergent phenomena in human interactions. His past accolades include an Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Research and a Best Undergraduate Physics Thesis award. His papers have received a Conference on Complex Systems Starred Paper Award and a mention in November 2017 by the MIT Technology Review.
