My Research Interests and Bio

My research focuses on Cyber-Physical Systems Security (CPS-Sec), Internet-of-Things (IoT), Multi-modal Sensor Fusion, Prognostic Health Monitoring, and Machine Learning.

Bio: I have over 10 years of experience in embedded systems and reconfigurable hardware targeting areas such as cyber-physical systems security (CPS-Sec), image processing, high performance computing, and machine learning. My research in the CPS-Sec domain specifically addresses trusted hardware platforms and resilient computing methods with an emphasis on the Root of Trust embedded in FPGA/SoC devices. Prior to joining USC-ISI, I was a Staff Research Scientist at United Technologies Research Center (now Raytheon Technologies) working on CPS-Sec and sensor fusion and prognostics for aerospace systems and buildings. I have authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and received a Best Paper award at the 9th International Conference on Network and System Security (NSS) 2015. I have 8 patents (published) and I am a recipient of UTRC's "Outstanding Achievement Award" for embedded system design and implementation of algorithms for next generation UTC Carrier fire suppression and detection products. I am a Senior Member of IEEE and I received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Wright State, and B.E. in Electronics Engineering from University of Pune, India
