Graduate Studies
Graduate education is a vital part of USC/ISI's mission. Many ISI researchers are appointed as faculty in the USC Computer Science Department and advise PhD students, who form an extensive and active research community at ISI. If you are interested in joining us, your first step is to apply to USC and indicate your interest in working with one of the Natural Language Group faculty. If you are interested in natural language processing, qualified, and motivated, we strongly encourage you to apply to USC.
Graduate students doing research at USC/ISI are usually supported by Research Assistantships that pay tuition and a stipend. Many students receive financial support through Graduate Fellowships from within USC, and some students receive funding from outside the university, for example, from the National Science Foundation.
