The objective of the MINT project is to provide a multicast
test-bed framework. That is an environment that will allow
protocol implementors, designers and operators of large scale
multicast routing devices and networks an ability to test
implementations of multicast protocols under various scenarios in
a controlled environment.
The network emulator
pkt is the
basis of the MINT project. Pkt is a
Tcl
extension that allows the creation of arbitrary wire ready packets
and direct access to the packet capture facility provided by the
operating system.
