[ns] Addressing structure

Hi All,

I would like to ask the list about the reasoning of having an address
of 16 bits in the default addressing. This is only 8 bits for the node
id when in standard IPv4 the address is 32 bits.

Could somebody provide with some reasoning as to why this is valid as an
addressing structure?

What if you want to measure overheads for headers? wouldn't the
addressing structure affect the correctness of the overhead figures

Thanks

Theo
