[ns] Comparision of simulators

hi all,
I am curently testing some of the ideas for wireless & mobile ad hoc
networks. I am also trying to find a suitable simulator which suits 
the ad hoc environment but I feel that some of the well known 
simulators are  incapable of carrying out the simulation. Can anyone 
suggest a simulator which is flexible enough to simulate ad hoc 
networking? 
Is there any comapartive study on network simulators?????
