[ns] problem executing nam

hai

i am trying to run tcl files in the /tcl/ex directory for simple.tcl
it gives an error saying couldnt execute nam: no such file or directory 
while executing "exec nam out.nam &". can any one please help me in fixing 
this problem. i would really appriciate your help.
