[ns] Ns simulator, packet loss and error in wireless enviroment
To whom it may concern:
According to Chapter 18 (Radio Propagation Models) in "Ns Manual",
I think that in the simulator, if the signal power of one packet is lower
than
the threshold, that packet is dropped. That is, once one packet is received
in wireless enviroment, it means that packet is correct totally, without
any bit errors. Is my thoughts correct?
If my above thoughts is correct, it is unnecessary for the link layer to use
FEC to correct bit errors. Is my thoughts correct?
Is there any information in "Ns Manual" about how Ns implementing ARQ
on link layer (I could not find it)? If it is not in the manual, where can I
find it?
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
