[ns] ns validate error on win2000

Dear ns users,
I tried to validate ns-2.1b8a on win2000.
I installed cygwin 1.3.2 and ActivePerl on my computer. When I try to run a
sample tcl script in order to validate the ns installation, I got the error
msg as this:
$ ns test-suite.tcl reno
warning: using backward compatibility mode
0/cwnd=1/ssthresh=28/ack=-1
1/cwnd=1/ssthresh=28/ack=-1
2/cwnd=14/ssthresh=28/ack=14
3/cwnd=9.01415/ssthresh=7/ack=54
4/cwnd=13.3285/ssthresh=7/ack=102
ns: close fileca93f8 ; finish test_reno: couldn't execute "awk": no such
file or
directory
    while executing
"exec awk {
                {
                        if (($1 == "+" || $1 == "-" ) &&  ($5 == "tcp" || $5
==
"ack")) print $2, $8 + ($11 % 90) * 0.01
                }
        } out.tr > temp.p"
    (procedure "finish" line 14)
    invoked from within
"finish test_reno"

Can some one tell what's wrong with the awk? How to make this script done in
order to validate the installation?
thanx.
yanxu
