If using
the LossMonitor doesn't give me the required throughput then how do I go
about calculating it?
Do I have to calculate it from the trace
file without considering the retransmissions? Is there any simpler
method?

packets requires ACK. However, LossMonitor agent does not generate ACK.
TCP
sender will wait for a period of timeout before retransmitting the packet. And
for
every timeout, the 'timeout value' increases. So the 4 packets you see are
probably
4
retransmission.
