[ns] Ns install fails - files under setdest.cc

Hi,
I have downloaded the NS 2.1b8a version on HP-UX. I made few changes to add 
some cc file compilation along with NS. I tried installing NS. The message 
says NS installed successfully. But if I check in the ns/bin directory I 
don't find the ns executable. When I tried installing NS by explicitly 
typing 'make' in the NS directory, I get the following error:

for i in indep-utils/cmu-scen-gen/setdest  indep-utils/webtrace-conv/dec  
indep-utils/webtrace-conv/epa  indep-utils/webtrace-conv/nlanr  
indep-utils/webtrace-conv/ucb; do ( cd $i; make all; ) done
        c++ -c -Dstand_alone -O  -o setdest.o setdest.cc
setdest.cc:14: err.h: No such file or directory
*** Error exit code

Can anyone help me with this?
