Hi,
I am trying to simulate
handoff algorithms in a Wireless LAN, need some help on the
following:
1. I wish to know if ns (i am
using 2.1b8) takes into account latency when a mobile node moves between
domains.
2. Instead of using distance
as given in Marc Greis' tutorial, can I make the mobile node periodically check
the signal strength of the Base Station as it is moving from the domain of one
BS to another?
3. I hope to monitor the
performance of my handoff algorithm by checking the latency, number of lost
packets and BER (any error models which i can use?). Any one knows if this can
be done?
I will really appreciate it
if someone can give me some pointers on the above cos I am only a 10-day old
ns-user.
