Yeah... you know the rule about not editing code when you're
mentally impaired (due to fatigue in this case), it applies
to document editing too :o)
I fumbled rewording headers on the fly while "proof-reading"
early this morning.
It originally read:
2.2.1 TCP does *not* work in satellite environments
I wanted things to be more positive, so I changed the slant
from restating the misconceptions to stating facts and forgot
to fix some of the bullets.
I'm fixing the Current right now to read:
2.2.1 TCP does work in satellite environments
o Assertions to the contrary are generally raised in relation to
geostationary satellite operation
o TCP does work, but performance can be suboptimal when
compared to terrestrial (or other lower-latency) paths
o Some performance degradations due to the long-delay environment
can be mitigated through proper configuration of clients and
network infrastructures (e.g. router buffer sizes)
