Paper_carrier is a simple news-to-mail gateway. It’s written in Perl-5 and builds upon Roger Anderson’s NNTPClient (included).
The 1.2 release fixes an important bug where messages could accidently be sent to users off the distribution list. (Thanks to Aleksey Tsalolikhin for the fix.)
The 1.3 release (20-Jun-99) fixes the same bug in a more general way. All but a few known benign headers are ``cloaked’’ so they can’t cause excess mail. (Thanks to Aleksey Tsalolikhin for the second fix.)
