TCP's Transmission rate

Hi,

I would like to measure transmission rate (i.e. txr) of a TCP source. 
By txr, I mean averaged txr over a given interval regardless to
retransmitted pkts. i.e. counting number of pkts that are sent (or
received) by a TCP source (or receiver) for a given interval. 

It should be possible to use per-flow monitoring feature of ns to
trace txr of TCP or any other source.

Any suggestion, idea, ..
