Wired Topology

    Dear all,

am I right in the assumption that the only way to create relative
positions of the wired nodes to one another is by saying the orientation
while exchanging packets?
For example:
$ns duplex-link-op $node(1) $node(3) orient right-down

And if it is indeed so, then why by wireless2 or wireless3
do the wired nodes lay on a horizontal line?
In wireless2 we have:
$ns_ duplex-link-op $W(1) $BS(0) orient left-down
The packets travel only right and left.

Can somebody please report from his experience?
Many thanks:
Anastasia
