We don't have any solaris 8 machines here...

If your compilation is hung up on tcltk-8.0.3, you could try getting
tcltk-8.3 which (I presume) works with newer solaris boxes.

You'll need current (snapshot) versions of tclcl and ns to pass all
the test suites with tcl-8.3, though.
