[ns] Q: slot filling order?

Can anyone explain the relationship
between the traffic and the slot filling?
For example, the network topology is as follows.

   0  ---  1  ---  2  --- 4
              |       |
              ---  3  --- 5

then what sequence(order) is for the slot filling
in terms of nodes (or flows)?
If you can show me an example(with any reference point),
that would be a great help.
