[ns] Emulation performance

Hello,

I want to use ns as a traffic generator. I want to inject this traffic in a
real network. To generate the traffic I will replay a traffic-trace with the
TrafficGenerator.
Could anyone give an indication of the speed ns can achieve in injecting
this traffic. Should I think Kbps here? Or can higher speeds be achieved.
If anyone has experience with this I would be glad to know the performance
you achieved.
