SPHERE Research Infrastructure is excited to participate in the Midscale Experimental Research Infrastructure Forum (MERIF) Workshop, taking place September 29–30, 2026, in Washington, DC. MERIF brings together NSF-supported research infrastructure providers and users to share best practices, reduce barriers to access, and strengthen cross-facility, reproducible research across the CISE community—making this a key opportunity for researchers and operators shaping the future of midscale science.

SPHERE will be present at the workshop to engage with the networking research community, learn about evolving infrastructure needs, and share how SPHERE supports innovative, reproducible experimentation in networking research.

Designed to accelerate scientific discovery, SPHERE enables researchers to explore topics such as network behavior and measurement, Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, AI-driven network analysis, and more—across a range of realistic, flexible experimental environments.
