[ns] Negative values in the trace file

Hi,
I have couple of questions.
1. what does it mean to have -ve values for -Hd in the new trace file 
format? -Hd is id for next hop to destination.

2. I think god objects that uses setdest files for computation of topology 
is not used for actual trace or nam generation. Where is the actual 
computation done? Something like neighbors of a node etc. Is it done in the 
routing protocol(DSR module) or anywhere else?
