[ns] problems with nam!!

Hi everyone!

I have downloaded the newest version of ns(ns-allinone-2.1b8a) and I
can't get the nam work. The problem is that when running a nam-file, the
namgraph-screen which appears is just empty(grey, as if I wouldn't have
loaded nothing!). I have tried running different nam-files, for example
from folder: /ns-allinone-2.1b8a/nam-1.0a10/ex/. When running the
examples from that folder, an error-message "You are using the tracefile
format older than 1.0a5 which will not allow you to run namgraph" is
displayed. When I run example scripts with ns(which goes right and
well!!!) from folder: /ns-allinone-2.1b8a/ns-2.1b8a/tcl/ex and then try
to run the created nam-files with nam.....same thing happens again
except now without the error-message!...Only a blank nam-screen will be
displayed. Then, if I give the nam-file, for example out.nam for my
friend, who has the same version of ns-allinone, it works well!

ps. I'm running the ns by taking an ssh-connection from my
windows-machine to the unix-machine where the ns is. I don't know if
this has any affect but my friend is using linux instead of windows!
