I don't know if this is related to what you are trying to find out. In
Solaris, some programs, like ftp and in.ftpd, do setsockopt() buffer size.
What this means is that (in Solaris) although you have set tcp_xmit_hiwat
and tcp_recv_hiwat to enable large window, those programs, like ftp, won't
use it. You may want to check that.
For those people who use Solaris's standard ftp/in.ftpd and want to use
large window, I have ftp/in.ftpd binaries which do not do the setsockopt() if
the default buffer size is larger than what ftp/in.ftpd wants to set it to.
