Jim is a research scientist at the Information Sciences Institute in the University of Southern California. He has published on social network visualization and was the main developer of KrackPlot 3. He has also published extensively on artificial intelligence. He holds a PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Cathleen is an associate professor of management at Loyola Marymount University. She has published several papers demonstrating the impact of network visualization on users' interpretation of graphical displays of data about their organizations and participated in the development of KrackPlot 3. She has been an active member of the International Network of Social Network Analysis (INSNA). She holds a PhD in organization theory from Carnegie Mellon University.
