Aram Galstyan is Director of the Machine Intelligence and Data Science (MINDS) group at Information Sciences Institute, University of Southern California. He is also research associate professor at the USC Computer Science department. His work focuses on various problems at the intersection of machine learning, information theory, and statistical physics. He is the Co-PI for IARPA’s Mercury program where he leads the algorithm development effort for machine-based forecasting. Galstyan was the PI DARPA SMISC project, she developed methods that helped the USC ISI team achieve perfect accuracy on DARPA's Social Bot Detection challenge.
