Bio

Dr. Stephen Crago is an Associate Director of the USC Information Sciences Institute and the Director of the Computational Systems and Technology (CS&T) division and of the Arlington site of ISI, where he has been since 1997. He holds a joint appointment as a Research Associate Professor in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since joining ISI, Dr. Crago’s research has been sponsored by DARPA, NASA, ONR, OUSD R&E, and other government agencies, and Dr. Crago has led many projects, from small, focused research efforts to large multi-disciplinary collaborations, across the range of his research interests. He received his B.S. in Computer and Electrical Engineering and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Crago’s current research interests include microelectronics, lab-to-fab transition, heterogeneous architectures, high-performance and embedded cloud computing, introspective systems, and parallel software.
