The Artificial Intelligence Division is one of the world’s largest AI research groups. Most of our researchers hold research faculty appointments in the USC Viterbi School of Engineering in the Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Industrial and Systems Engineering departments. We do fundamental and applied research in all areas of AI, including machine learning, natural language, image and video processing, knowledge graphs, commonsense reasoning, data science, computational social science and AI fairness.
