SERC end of year Research Award Dinner

SERC Director Prof. Barnhart recognized the students and staff at a small dinner on campus on May 3rd. With the fun theme of “May the 3rd be with you…” recognition was given to multiple teams and key research students who performed above and beyond providing successful flight test, transition and new innovative results. Some of the key awards were:

David Bacher for Outstanding TA and Student Coordinator for his work at the USC SERC Ground Station.
Pierson Lintala for Expert 3D Printer Wrangler that supported every project that SERC was involved in.
Cristobal Garrido, awarded “Jack of All Projects”, who consistently helped out on all the projects at the SERC and provides outstanding mentorship to students.
Henry Adam for “Outstanding Software Developer” for his commitment and support to the CLINGERS Project, USC’s 1st International Space Station experiment.

Haley Topper, awarded “Most Valuable Researcher” for 2023-2024 Year for her outstanding contributions to multiple projects over the course of the year.

The CLING-ERS and REACCH project team members were also recognized for the first flight to ISS and first major research effort transitioned into industry.

It is only through the dedication, passion and energy of the student researchers does the USC SERC continue to grow and thrive and make true advancements in Space!
