SERC Supporting 4 Orbital Prime Awards

SERC and ISI are proud to be supporting four separate companies working on distinct technologies toward the goal of orbital debris remediation and mitigation. The Phase 1 STTR's from SpaceWerx under their Orbital Prime BAA are all occurring over the Fall 2022 Semester.

SERC and ISI are proud to be supporting four separate companies working on distinct technologies toward the goal of orbital debris remediation and mitigation.  The Phase 1 STTR’s from SpaceWerx under their Orbital Prime BAA are all occurring over the Fall 2022 Semester.   Orbital Prime is meant to kickstart in a big way applied research and tech development in multiple areas that can support the immediate challenge of space debris, and hopefully translate to longer term servicing applications in the future.   Four independent teams of USC SERC researchers (faculty and students) are supporting each, based on technology or research done at SERC in the past.
